Incheon,
korea

2008~2009

Site Area:
10,412 SM

Total Floor Area:
49,427 SM

585 units

Client:
Phoenix Holdings
Phoenix Holdings purchased a vacant land (10,412 SM) adjacent to the Woonseo Subway Station in Incheon Youngjong district of Korea and asked YAMASAKI KOREA (former YKH) to design 4-star, 4~500-room, unique, efficient, “boutique-style” hotel to be expanded 6~700-room capacity. To overcome zoning & height limitation, we came up with this “distinctive” five-legged shaped building that more than satisfies no. of room req’t (585 units). Each “carved-out” pockets are being developed as “green-pockets” meaning “gardens”, “rest area” & “outdoor restaurants”.
