WORLD TRADE CENTER

NEW YORK,
NEW YORK, U.S.A.

1962~1976

Total Floor Area:
929,000 SM

Parking:
2,000 cars
The primary purpose of the World Trade Center is to bring together the activities of private firms and public agencies engaged in world commerce in one central location. This promotes greater contact among members of the foreign trade community by providing communication, information, proximity, and convenience for those enterprises involved in world trade. The execution of the enormous project relied heavily on the development and application of many sophisticated technological innovations. These ultimately had a great bearing on the planning and design of the project, its testing and evaluation procedures during design, and its construction techniques.
